what MOMS are saying

Jen’s prenatal yoga classes are the absolute best!! I’m so happy I found them during my first trimester of pregnancy. I started around 16 weeks and went almost once a week up until I was 37 weeks. Not only were the classes great but I felt like I was already part of a mom community simply by attending them. Jen started every class with getting to know each other and our current struggles - through this I learned a lot of tricks of the trade and also felt less alone in the magical yet difficult journey of pregnancy. I struggled with Sciatica for a month and because of Jen’s extra care to tend to my aches I kicked it in a month and for future pregnancies probably even sooner. I also feel like my amazing labor experience had to do with Jen’s reminder to stay calm and breathing techniques. I cant wait to go back for her baby and me yoga classes once my little guy is ready. Do yourself the favor of at least trying one class - guarantee you’ll feel better and learn something new after!

During my pregnancy, I experienced pelvic floor issues, sciatica and SI joint pain. In my second trimester, I started taking prenatal yoga classes twice a week with Jen and noticed a huge improvement with the pain and issues I was experiencing. I also tried her prenatal strength class where I learned how to modify my workouts to be pregnancy safe and to prepare my body for childbirth and motherhood.

Jen is so passionate about empowering women and creates a fun, safe and judgement free space for women to connect, move and learn. I truly enjoyed coming to class and I gained so much knowledge about how to have a more comfortable pregnancy and how to prepare my mind and body for labor. My water broke two weeks early but I was able to stay calm using breathing techniques and information that I learned in class and had a very smooth experience at the hospital and with recovery. I’ve referred multiple pregnant friends to Jen that also had amazing experiences and results. I highly recommend starting her prenatal classes early in pregnancy!

I am so grateful for Jen and can’t wait to be back for Mommy & Me yoga with her!

“Jen is absolutely amazing! I just gave birth and I am so grateful for attending all of her classes. It helped me to physically, mentally, and emotionally be prepared and ready for labor and delivery. Jen’s prenatal yoga class is very informative and she gives different birthing techniques as well as shows different ways to prepare your body for labor and delivery. Also, her class she co-taught on pushing and child birthing was extremely beneficial for my husband and me. He did not know what to expect with labor and delivery and her teachings and techniques helped him to be a successful pushning partner and support for me. I am forever grateful. If you’re thinking about it my encouragement is go for it! It’s a beneficial investment and you won’t regret it.

“Jen’s prenatal yoga class was truly the highlight of my week when I was pregnant. Beyond teaching poses, Jen prepped us for labor & delivery by educating us on impactful breathing exercises, pelvic floor work, and positions to ease contractions. The confidence Jen instilled through her teachings was immeasurable. I’m so grateful for her level of knowledge, her patience, & her emotional & physical support during my pregnancy journey!”

“Jennifer is absolutely amazing! I took her prenatal yoga class from my first trimester, all the way up to 39 weeks. She’s very knowledgeable, personable, fun and sweet. She helped me with my constant sciatica pain. My only regret is that I didn’t find her with my first 2 pregnancies. I’m currently enrolled in her mommy and me yoga class and am loving it!”

“I attended prenatal yoga classes since the beginning of my pregnancy and I truly believe that they provided the strength and balance I needed to have a healthy pregnancy. Jen is very friendly and supportive. She takes the time to listen each pregnant woman in the beginning of the class and customizes the exercises based on our needs. She provides not only guidance but also motivates us in case we are struggling with a yoga position. I also found her classes a great opportunity to share experiences with other future moms. I am very grateful for meeting Jen and I highly recommend her classes to any pregnant woman.”

“There are so many things that happen to your body when you are pregnant and I was so happy to have such a supportive space every Saturday morning at prenatal yoga with Jen! It was not only a space to move our bodies but it was also a space to talk about our experiences being pregnant, vent about our discomfort and learn about the process of labor and delivery. Though I didn’t enjoy waking up on a Saturday morning, I was so thankful for the time, space and women empowerment I felt. Jen was and is so amazing and helpful and supportive. I had a million questions and she was always willing to help guide me to answers. I wouldn’t miss out on this experience!

"“Teaching is an art.” Jen is not just a yoga instructor, she is truly a teacher. During her prenatal yoga class Jen supported us not just physically, but emotionally as well. Jen takes a personal interest in each of her students. She shares her knowledge of prenatal and postnatal health, as well as some excellent birth tips and techniques, both in and outside of the yoga room.”

“I did yoga with Jen for almost my whole third trimester of my second pregnancy. Her class is relaxing, informative and empowering. I love how she tailors each class based on how all of the expectant moms are feeling that day, targeting the physical and mental aspects of pregnancy that constantly shift. I can’t wait to return for baby and me yoga!”

I took Jen's prenatal yoga classes during my 2nd and 3rd trimester and they were AMAZING. While classes were usually filled with about 10 other women, they always felt personalized because Jen took the time to check in with each person and used her incredible knowledge of the body during pregnancy to target the poses to meet the unique needs of each person in the class! I used to think prenatal yoga would be be boring and slow, but Jen made it fun, educational, and still made sure I got a good workout, despite my growing body. Jen really helped me to improve my yoga practice by connecting my breathe to my movements. I already am counting down the days until my little one is big enough to go to baby and me yoga with Jen.

“I’m 5 weeks postpartum and so sad that my Prenatal Yoga classes with Jen are over! I did yoga with Jen throughout both of my pregnancies and it was something I looked forward to so much every week. It was my zen time to connect with my baby and my body. She not only kept me moving and in good shape but she kept me sane! Jen is so positive and supportive to mamas, her class is the most nurturing environment, all moms should get to experience it. It is a completely judgement-free, supportive zone to connect, relate, vent and celebrate. One thing I especially love is Jen’s emphasis on preparation for labor and delivery, which is so important. She encourages moms to educate themselves so that they can be their own best advocates during pregnancy and birth. I will be continuing onto Baby and Me Yoga so that Jack and I can continue to get our weekly dose of Jen!”

“Being pregnant during a pandemic was challenging, especially because I thought I wouldn’t be able to take part in group prenatal yoga classes. I very much looked forward to the relationship with other expectant parents, but I wasn’t sure if that would be possible. That all changed when a friend invited me to Jen’s virtual prenatal yoga class. Jen’s warmth and empathy came through the screen in a way that absolutely made me feel like I was part of a larger community. While it was a small gesture, the check in before class started allowed me to hear the experiences of other expectant parents as well as be heard in a safe space. Jen’s class gave me the space to connect with my baby in spite of the chaos that was happening in the world and allowed me to be more grounded in my pregnancy. I felt empowered to bring my fullest self to class and to my baby. That hour of class was a sacred space. Class was more than just yoga- it was spiritual clarity.

Thanks to Jen’s guidance, I was able to go into labor and delivery armed with a set of tools to help. I heard Jen’s voice in my head reminding me of my breath and of the positions I could do to help ease the pain. I even added songs from our class playlist to my labor playlist as a reminder of what I had learned in class. I am forever grateful for Jen’s support throughout my journey.”

“Before becoming pregnant, I had never taken a yoga class. Wanting to do everything possible to stay healthy during pregnancy, I decided to give prenatal yoga a try. Signing up for Jen’s class was a real game changer. Not only does Jen confidently yet gently lead you through positions that ease the aches and pains of pregnancy, but I always left her classes feeling physically and mentally stronger. She shared her seemingly endless knowledge about pregnancy, delivery and the female body, which in turn made me feel more empowered during both my pregnancies. Her classes were structured but relaxed and provided an open, inclusive atmosphere for sharing. I’m so thankful she teaches postnatal yoga as well because now that I have 2 little ones, her classes help me reconnect with my body and remind me that it is stronger than I typically give it credit for.”

TARA

“Yoga with Jen is what gave me incredible serenity during my pregnancy, labor and delivery. The techniques I learned allowed me to breathe through labor and concentrate more on my body and breathing, which led to two smooth deliveries. I’m grateful to have found ways to be kind to my body while carrying both my girls throughout pregnancy. It is a testament to Jen’s instruction, knowledge and personal attention to all her yogis!”

MELISSA

“I have absolutely loved taking prenatal and postnatal yoga classes with Jen. The classes each have a different focus based on what Jen has prepared, as well as what the students are specifically looking for. All the classes I have taken helped prepare me for labor, birth and postnatal recovery. The personal touch of the classes are also really great. It is so nice to connect with Jen and the other yoga momma’s! I recommend Jen’s classes to everyone I know who is pregnant!”

MARY

“Jennifer is an awesome teacher! Her classes were heaven during pregnancy. She really understands what your body is going through and the poses and flow help so much. I would do the moves at home to help me sleep and work at my desk. Taking her class is more than just yoga, it was educational, social and became a pregnant community. Even during the quarantine she made sure to support all the pregnant mamas. I was overdue and she did private sessions to help me! My only wish was that she had more classes to take ( having on video and repeat helped!). I’m counting down the days to my 6 week check up so I can start back with her postnatal! If you are pregnant don’t think twice and just take a class... even if you have never done yoga... your body and mind will thank you!”

KERRI

“Jen’s prenatal class was exactly what I needed while pregnant. Her class was gentle on my growing body, but still felt like a workout. I loved how she tailored each week to fit our individual aches and pains. Her knowledge on safe prenatal exercise made me feel safe and able to push myself throughout the class. Jen’s focus on connecting with baby was refreshing, and something that I often forgot to do in day to day life. It was nice to have an hour a week to focus on building the relationship with my baby and the changes in my body. I would absolutely recommend her class!”

LAURA

“I’ve been practicing yoga for over 10 years and when I got pregnant I began supplementing my regular practice with prenatal classes. I took Jen’s classes from my first trimester through to the week before I gave birth and it was the best decision I made. Jen is incredibly knowledgeable about prenatal, child birth and postpartum. She presents her knowledge very passionately and eloquently in class. As a first time mom, I learned so much from her, and her classes prepared me for labor. I brought my husband to one of her partner classes and he utilized what he learned in the delivery room too! Butt punches and table top for the win during back labor!”

AMANDA

“I had never taken a yoga class before prenatal yoga with Jen. As a first time mom I was terrified, tired and trying anything to feel comfort from the day-to-day pregnancy pains. Jen really helped me prepare physically and mentally for my labor and delivery. She not only taught me great yoga positions to ease the aches and pains of pregnancy but the best positions for an “easier” delivery. She is also great at educating you on what is happening during your pregnancy. She makes you feel part of community with a great support system of other moms. After the birth of my 1st child I began doing Jen’s mommy and me and postnatal workshops. I had severe postpartum depression and anxiety, can’t tell you how great it was to be surrounded by other moms and Jen leading the way letting you know you are going to be ok. As I venture into my second pregnancy I look forward to my prenatal classes with her!”

SHERRIE

“As a practitioner of Yoga for the past 8 years, I was excited to practice throughout my pregnancy. I sought out a prenatal yoga program in the area to help me understand my pregnant body and adjust my practice accordingly. Jen’s prenatal classes exceeded my expectations. Jen not only guided us through sequences that would benefit us physically, but she made her class into a community of moms. I kept in touch with some of the moms and many of us now attend Jen’s mommy and me class! Jen also shared information and resources with us that helped me work toward eradicating my fears of labor and delivery and rewire my thinking when it came to childbirth. I very much credit Jen and her prenatal yoga classes for my ability to carry out the type of natural childbirth experience I had originally hoped for when I first found out I was pregnant. The best part about Jen and her classes is that her passion for educating expecting mothers is exuded in her teaching, which is extremely motivating. She is completely present throughout and always eager to answer questions afterward. I highly recommend Jen as an overall support for moms-to-be!”

LAUREN

“I took Jen’s prenatal yoga class during my second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Jen also gave me a few private lessons in my home. I had never practiced yoga prior to this and I was looking for a way to unwind, work on breathing, lower my blood pressure and stay somewhat active during my pregnancy. Jen’s classes were just what I needed, she often went over breathing techniques and positions that you could utilize during labor. She explained the scientific reasons why these stretches or positions would ease pain during pregnancy or help with the birthing process. Jen is extremely knowledgeable in yoga, the birthing process and postpartum. I was considered a high risk pregnancy and believe that yoga with Jen’s expertise helped me carry to full term. Now me and my son go to her postnatal mommy and me yoga classes and enjoy that special time to bond with one another while learning new ways to stretch both my body and his. I highly recommend Jen’s yoga classes to any new mommy or mommy to be as they are extremely beneficial during this exciting time in our lives. ”

“I truly enjoy taking Jen’s classes. She has such a wonderful energy. She helped me to prepare for the birth of my daughter in the prenatal yoga classes. I had a wonderful birth at home and give much credit to the prenatal yoga for helping to prepare my body and mind. Now I am bringing my daughter to mommy & baby classes with Jen so we can both continue to benefit from her guidance.”

AMY

“Jen is an excellent yoga instructor! I took her pre-natal, post-natal and baby & me yoga classes. She customized each class to meet our needs & shared a wealth of information to help us better understand the changes our bodies were going through both during & after pregnancy. Jen’s incredibly caring & helped foster a really supportive atmosphere which I hugely appreciated as a first-time mom! I would absolutely take her classes again.”
