prep for BIRTH with prenatal yoga

LEARN TIPS AND TECHNIQUES TO HELP YOU LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR LABOR & DELIVERY

what if you could feel CONFIDENT and EMPOWERED during childbirth?

  “i'm SCARED to give birth.”

How many times have you said this to yourself?

Does this describe you? You...

  • Think about what could go wrong during your labor.

  • Read positive birth stories, but don’t understand how to have a better birth experience.

  • Feel overwhelmed, isolated or misinformed by the amount of resources and information online.

  • Took a childbirth education class, but wish you had a way to practice the information you learned.

  • Tell yourself you’ll get to a prenatal yoga class, but never find the time to get out your door.

  • Believe you can’t tolerate pain.

You’ll be facing the unknown of labor with no set of comfort measures or coping techniques to get you through.

I UNDERSTAND BECAUSE I WAS SCARED TOO!

The second I started showing, everyone told me about their own, or a friend of a friend’s, traumatic birth story. I knew my own story of how I came into the world wasn’t a positive one. I also didn’t think I could tolerate much pain. But, I didn’t want to be another unnecessary induction or cesarean birth. Most of all, I didn’t want to be afraid to give birth. I spent a lot of time envisioning what I wanted my birthing experience to be like. I read tons of books and attended Hypnobirthing classes.

But I knew I could be doing more. I needed something that I could do anywhere and on my own schedule. I wanted something that I looked forward to every day and really enjoyed. I realized the time spent on my yoga mat could help me prepare for labor.

I BELIEVE THAT ALL WOMEN SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN COPING STRATEGIES, REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY CHOOSE TO GIVE BIRTH.

I BELIEVE WE CAN HAVE A SMOOTHER TRANSITION TO MOTHERHOOD IF WE HAVE A POSITIVE BIRTH EXPERIENCE.

I BELIEVE THAT WOMEN WHO FEEL EMPOWERED WHEN THEY’RE PREGNANT FEEL CONFIDENT DURING LABOR AND ARE MORE PREPARED TO MAKE INFORMED DECISIONS.

that’s where I COME IN

I’m passionate about helping women prepare for their births using techniques they learn during prenatal yoga. I have completed over 100 additional hours of training specializing in prenatal and postnatal yoga and movement and I’m a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance.

In this online course, I provide you with critical strategies to get you through contractions and they are conveniently located in one place and always available to practice. After completing Prep for Birth with Prenatal Yoga, you’ll gain confidence to advocate for yourself and the unknown of labor will feel less daunting!

kind WORDS

Being pregnant and preparing for labor can be scary and overwhelming. Being pregnant and preparing for labor during a pandemic is a whole other beast. Jen’s PREP FOR BIRTH COURSE pushed all my fears and anxieties aside and allowed me to connect with my body and my growing baby in a way I never thought possible. Her course not only prepared my body physically for labor, but more importantly mentally.

I was genuinely surprised with how much I kept referring back to everything I learned while laboring at home and in the delivery room - the breathing techniques and the poses for labor were my most referenced!

The structure and the format of the classes are practical, easy to follow and allow for flexibility whether you have 5 minutes, or an hour. Jen’s explanations of the various poses and tecnhiques and their benefits make it easy to understand, even to a novice yogi like me.

I had my apprehensions about taking a virtual course and was skeptical about how effective it could be but my expectations were happily exceeded!
